One of the most common questions we get, indeed probably THE most asked question is “how long will it take for me to get my visa granted?”. This is unfortunately an incredibly difficult question for us to be able to answer with any accuracy (although we work tirelessly on your behalf to obtain the very best outcome).
This is not because we don’t want to tell you, indeed we would love to be able to give you a definitive time frame when we have lodged your visa application, but for a number of other reasons. These reasons are predominantly twofold (although there are myriad factors that can have an impact):
- Each visa type has a different processing time
- The Department of Home Affairs change the times very regularly, something we as migration agents and lawyers sadly have no control over.
Here is a link to the Australian Department of Home Affairs website that will hopefully give you some idea of the times, and at least where to look for information.
