Migrant workers are ‘prisoners’ some say

The issue of mal-treatment of migrant workers in Australia seems to be gripping headlines at the moment. Every day there is a story about students being housed in terrible conditions or not being paid for the work they do. But it’s not just those on tourist or working-student visas that are being mis-fairly treated, those on 407 visas are being targeted also.

This story in the Sydney Morning Herald exposes a luxury hotel chain in New South Wales exploiting workers and metaphorically imprisoning them in ‘third world conditions’.
